Anyone have this Opteka Battery Grip?

Amazon Link (http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-Vertical-Batteries-Wireless-Cleaning/dp/B001QGE7TW/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I222Y771R5YRMN&colid=1MGPZV50WTU1N)

What are your thoughts? Does it allow for a tripod plate to be screwed into the bottom?

I have one in the mail, but I believe it allows for tripod plate.

Here is a LINK (http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-Battery-Vertical-Shutter-Batteries/dp/B001HK4LWA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1260860176&sr=1-1) to just the grip on Amazon (oppose to the pack of stuff). If you go look under the customer photo section, there are some nice photos showing the grip.

Does anyone use the Opteka grip (BG-E5 version) with a QR plate? This one should fit, no? http://www.markinsamerica.com/MA5/PG-50.php (supposed to fit the Canon BG-E5 grip)

I got the Opteka grip for my camera for my birthday as a gift. i have had no problems with it whatsoever.

I had 2 Opteka batteries that I got right after I bought my camera - they last longer than my Canon one that came with the camera. My sister got me 2 more with the battery grip as well.

If it fits the bg-e5 it fits the aftermarket ones. I got the canon bg-e5 open box for around $100. Then got a 3rd party one as a gift. It's indistinguishable from the Canon with the exception of the Canon logo. I'm inclined to believe these are made in the same factory and they just leave the logos off. Needless to say I got rid of the Canon. For double the price, the genuine Canon is not worth it, unless you have to have that Canon logo.
