As you usual, folks, your comments are welcome.
This picture http://www.pbase.com/image/13005541 was taken on a cloudy day. I have Auto Leveled and Cropped in PS.

Gee Gris,
I don't know what to say. The photo is kinda dark except for the sky. Maybe a polorizing filter would come in handy?
Now if I were to look at it in a different way the darkness would be fine if the bird was closer.
Sorry I don't seem to be able to offer much.

I am not a nature photographer but why don't you try this the next time. Set up a bird feeder outside your bedroom window or any window that is near to your place of residence and wait for birds to land on it and start feeding. Does your camera have a zoom (most have at least a 3X). If you have a tripod all the better and zoom in on the birds as they are feeding and fill the frame with them. You were too far away in this shot, so I don't know if the main interest is the tree or the bird.

Points taken, Conk & John. Thank you for your suggestions. I am fairly new to photography, and still learning to acquire 'the eye for photos'.
I have a Powershot S30 which does have a zoom. I still not very conversant with all the feature of the camera. Usually, I take the same shot with different settings, and compare the photos to see the difference on the output.
Thanks once again.
