Hi, new member here! I have enjoyed the site other than the allowable image post size. IMHO, the 1024x1024 rule is kinda lame for those of us using large, HD monitors. 1920x1200 pixels is quickly becoming the standard for larger HD monitors, and 1920x1080 is the standard for those using their HDTV's for viewing. I know bandwith costs money, but file sizes for the larger format aren't necessarily that much more data intensive for 1920x1200 over 1024x1024.

Anyone working with 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 speak up. What are your thoughts? Wouldn't it be nice?

The rule is to make life easier to those with standard monitors and with basic network connections (and PDA's, too). 1024 is plenty for presenting a sample of a photo. If you need to show bigger versions, link to them.

I too use 1920x1200 but don't want any bigger than 1024. My browser doesn't fill my entire screen, only about 75% of it so any bigger would be annoying. Plus on my iPhone and also my MacBook Pro it would be very annoying as those screens are much smaller.

I usually post pictures at about 500px and link to larger versions for those with bigger screens.
