This was taken from our patio during our trip to Maui last fall. The wind was really blowing and the palms fronds were whipping in the wind. They were lit by floods mounted on the ground.

Digital Rebel, Sigma 18-125 @ 18mm, ISO 200, f/3.5, 15 sec

Fun shot, the movement of the palms creates an interesting surreal effect.

interesting idea. I don't like the colours though.

This was taken about 11PM. The sky was quite black and the stars were showing through. The Palms were lighted with floods from their base.

The image has really "something". I do not really know what, perhaps. But I like it a lot.

Duder, I see what you meant! I do like this better. What did you use to bring out the greens?

auto levels in photoshop (faded back a bit so as not to blow highlights) worked pretty well. ;) I thought it might look better with the trees more natural colours.

Nice shot...I like the first one - that surreal lighting works well.
