Blue Herons at my work

I saw this Heron when I drove into work one morning. Fortunately I had the 70-200 mounted and ready to go.

Thanks!!! I am glad you guys liked them. The middle and bottom one have been cropped a little, he was moving pretty fast and I could not fill the frame at 200mm.

I like the first and second shots best. Although the heron looks a bit weird in the second shot I think the softness of the grasses beneath it make for a lovely shot.

Wow, nice captures nat! #1 and #2 are my favorites.
I have yet to see a GBH. :( There are plenty of green heron in my neck of the woods tho.

I just looked at them on my monitor here at work and they do look a little dark to me too. Anyone see these on a properly calibrated monitor? I might have messed up my calibration at home.

Beautifull,. I love that flight/pose in the second shot.. it is one of my favorite ways of seeing the GBH.. and the lighting makes it very special :)
