My wonderful wife wants to buy me some memory for Christmas for my 7D. The fastest card I have is a Scandisk Extreme III, it works fine until I'm out birding and hold the trigger down for a couple of seconds. I can usually get about 12 - 15 shots before it fills, and then it takes up to a minute to write to the card.
Having seen the video on the new Lexar Professional 600, I'd like to pick one up but it seems no one has them in stock. How are the Extreme IV's? I think they write at 45mbs while the Lexar writes at 90!

I use the Extreme IV 8gb. If i really blast away there can be a slight delay in clearing the buffer but I haven't experienced anything near a full minute
