Few shots from a wedding in eastern colorado. Brides dad let us use his prized chevy.

OMG, these are fantastic! You should really embed these suckers! A lot of people won't click links on here, and they'll be missing out, for sure!
Just do what you did, but instead of putting [ url] link [/url]
put link

Excellent Series. I really like the first one with the tree and the truck adds a unique element to a wedding shoot.

Nothing loads for me? Nor do I see any links
EDIT: nvm... I clicked on the open spot where they were supposed to be and they popped up... strange.

Prized truck? I was expecting some immaculate conditioned vehicle. Not scratched all to hell in the front. But anywho...
I'm going to go against the grain here and say I don't really like 6. It's dark in all the wrong places for me. With that said, great lighting on 1 and 3. 2 is good and I want to like 5 the best, but she just has some weird pose going on there. I think I still like it best regardless. It has that model look to it. I also really like 4. But not that texture overlay it has on it. These are all just opinions though.

WOW! just.....WOW. I love them all bw! ( As I am a redneck I like anything involving trucks and women :) ) they must really love that old truck, or was that your idea? I love the blue lighting in the background on #1.

Actually it wasn't this time so I can't take credit for it. She even used one of her dads old grease rags on the bouquet. Minus the grease.

Really lucked out with the truck. This wedding was in the middle of nowhere those trees are the only ones for miles. Without the truck and trees my wife and I might have been in trouble

I would like to see number four with out the border. Great colors and captures. I like 'out of the box' weddings. A lot more fun to shoot.

Superb! I just love the attitude on the face of the bride and bridesmaids faces. It wouldn't have worked without it and with it, it elevates the photos to something more than a clever gimmick. Very good work.

Thank you. Are you talking about the one in black and white on the blog or the shot of her on the pew?
If its the one on the pew it was just available light coming in through the stained glass windows.

Most of these shots are available light. The only one that is posted here that has any flash is the one with her and the truck. She was lit by the sun but I used some ocf to help with the fill. I was probably at -1 on the flash

The first shot was the only one in this series that had lighting per say. That shot had 3 lights in it. One to the camera right as main. It is somewhere behind the tree. Second light is behind the couple adding a rim light to them. The third was a light about 20 yards back with a blue gel on it. All of them were fired off using radiopoppers.

I'm going to go against the crowd and say I like 'em all except number 1. And that isn't the whole truth... I actually LOVE number 1. I don't like one shadow in number 1. There is a fold in her dress that is creating a shadow that makes it look as if she is squatting... I love the shot, but EVERY time I look at it, my eye is drawn straight to that shadow and it ruins it for me. Beautiful shot. Beautiful execution. Bummer shadow!!

Really great and impressive. Love the setting.
Too bad the bride didn't smile more. I don't know why people think they look better not smiling.

These are really unbelievable. Sensational would be a fair claim. The only criticism I might add is in the last shot, with the truck. The poses/stances are definitely un-feminine (if there is such a word). Maybe that was the intention? Anyway, you have nailed some exceptional colours here. The first is sublime.

Those are great.
Knowing how to use some lightning is very usefull if I see the results..
Were some of them shot with polarisation filter? Your skies are very beautiful!

Never used a polarizer. It was eastern sky at the right time. Colorado gets some blue skys in winter.

Great work. The border on #4 had me a little confused as to why the top of her head looked funny though until I saw you had a border on it. Love the truck in the pictures, well done.

just because the truck isn't immaculate doesn't mean its not prized, to someone :)
I like it, weddings are so clean cut and blissful and the truck just adds rusticness
