I have a little prob and will be really apreciated for advice, help.
when I open imaged in photoshop cs2, if I
discard embedded profile (sRGB), image looks prety close then in other grafic soft I have
if I convert or use embedded profile, it look really different.

any suggestions or advice how best to match and that images will look prety much the same during printing, the company I'm printing at uses sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile.????

Thx

The most important thing you can do to get your prints to match your monitor is to calibrate your monitor. Unless you do that, it's a crap shoot. It doesn't matter whether you work in sRGB or Adobe RGB as long as you use the same Working Space as the Space you shot the image in or convert the image to your Working Space.

thx Scott, but it still so weird, in all other applications images slightly darker, but in photoshop (unless I discard profile) is lighter, may it be some setting in Photoshop??? I tried different color profiles still the same. Really Weird :(

AjP, we've had a discussion about this problem before... dig in the thread "Photoshop CS2 is confusing me" and you'll see our efforts there. Not good.

thank you for directing to that discussion but,l I already saw that thread, and I have absolutely different issue,
I'm not converting my image color profile (I shot in sRGB, photoshop default is sRGB), and I'm not saving for web (just opening image for editing), and Photoshop in general not confusing me at all, except this little issue

when I open image in photoshop it look brighter then in IE, ACDSee, ImageViewer.....etc

AjP, but the problem is still the same as I have... I shoot in sRGB, I edit in sRGB and save as sRGB.... what I see on the screen won't be the same as what I see after the save. Plus I'm not sure other apps show you sRGB, but your monitor profile.

similar, but not the same, my images not changing after I save it, still the same, only thing I don't like in photoshop it display it a little brighter, and its it. no problem with saving or printing, maybe I just need to reinstall everything LOL
