i helped my friend shoot his friend's wedding on a nice sunny afternoon.. payment was a nice bottle of wine and many thanks in return.

had a nice time taking the pics but one thing i've learned is it is really really not easy to be a wedding photographer..

I take it you've been shooting other things for a while as it looks like you've done this before. These were with the 85 1.2? If so, that helps a lot.

this is the first time i'm shooting at a wedding; my friend was asked to help shoot, and he asked me to help him out. i usually just shoot as a hobby and like taking pics of people and cars.

yup i rented an 85 1.2L for the day which was just a pleasure to use. i lent my 17-55 to my friend that day, so his role was to shoot the group pictures, and mine was to shoot from afar.

the 85 is really tight on a 1.6x crop.. but its also a really really wonderful lens.

i find it stressful shooting at a wedding.. i was really worried the whole time i would not be able to get good shots.

I like the use of the out of focus on the other elements in the picture and focusing only on the subject. Very effective!

Thanks for sharing and yes, I would love to have the 85L!
