This is my first attempt to share an image here, so please be kind. :)

This was taken from a Cessna T210 during descent into Muncie, IN last weekend. Camera is a 10D using a Sigma 28-200 at 28mm, f/16, 1/500. I was a little busy flying the airplane so I set the camera and gave it to my wife to take the picture. Unfortunately I hadn't set the camera for RAW images.

The image from the camera was a very low contrast so I've tweaked the image a little to add contrast and adjusted the color balance as the original was very blue.

I could not imagine what Descent into Muncie might contain. Very nice photo. Great clouds from an angle not everyone gets to see. Color looks very good. Is there land visible at the bottom?

Oh, and welcome to the forums...

Dave,

Yep, that's the ground visible at the bottom of the picture. We had been cruising at 9000' (a little over 8000' above the ground in this part of the country) and had been up near the tops of a lot those clouds. This picture was taken as we were getting close the cloud bases descending to the airport.

This kind of view is one of the payoffs of being able to fly and having an instrument rating.
