One More... Faces and Catchlights...

I love the light that comes through my sliding glass window in the morning.. So I bribed a couple of kiddos I care for to sit on the table and look sweet...

Just practicing my focusing skill mostly.... I know the exposures are a little on the bright side, but I do like to expose more to the right... so... ;)

Very little PP done to the eyes... this just to show that if you get the light to reflect in their eyes... your images will be much mor alive... I may have dodged the catchlights a wee bit.. and some light sharpening.

Thank you.. she does have amazing eyes... I've been caring for her about 2 years now... and she is so photogenic when she isn't sticking her neck out like an ostrich... lol.. I ALWAYS have to tell her.... "Put your chin down honey.... and just look at me with your eyes"... She's a model in training. ;)

I am lucky to care for beautiful children.. ;) OF course if you ask me they are all adorable. :) I love kids in general.

I have 2 girls of my own.... my oldest pretty much never sits for me.. and my youngest.. is on her terms.. unless I have a pretty good bribe to offer.. ;)

Most kids will sit for about 3 frames and then they are done. Unless it's a paid session... then their parents have them commited for at least an hour.. but we try to make it fun. :)

Your posts always make me laugh... I care for two little ones (18 months and almost 4 months) every day and am constantly making them let me take their pictures :) Some days they are more cooperative than others! Some days I feel somewhat bad because I make them take so many pictures, but their parents LOVE it :) The parents of the kids you watch should feel very blessed, you've captured these moments of their kids!

I should start sharing some of those snaps... I use them as practice and to try new things - maybe you can all help me improve!

Ditto almost everyone else's posts: #3 is spectacular. Did you take these with your 5D or 20D? I love the catchlights--that is something I am trying so hard to learn to capture!
