rotating filter

Some time ago a colleague showed me an unusual filter - as I remember, it was two colours (pink and blue?) and you could rotate it (similar to a polarising filter) to achieve different effects. That is all that my fading memory can recall. Any idea what I might be talking about? Oh yeah, it was quite expensive :-(.

They come in 7 or 8 variations / different colors .
No idea of the quality of glass or if it is even glass .
