Does anyone know if canon is planning to give us a new firmware for the rebel which will enable the hidden functions ?

If they did give, will it be hidden ?:p For now, I guess you also will have to live with the hack.

The Drebel is not anything they're making much money on anymore, so there's no point for them to spend any of their money on a product that is 20 months old.
