I am going to Nashville for Imaging USA on January 9th and will be taking a couple extra days after for siteseeing. After the show, we will rent a car for a few days. What is around Nashville for scenery? Anything a must to check out in town? And also chime in if you are going to the show. Mostly scenery.... Thanks

The Opry Tour is okay, the General Jackson Dinner cruise has good food and great entertainment.... Downtown and along the river has some good photo ops.

you can take a drive down the Natchez Trace, historic Franklin is great for walk around, downtown Nashville is good, The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson home, Spring Hill with the Rippa Villa house (civil war battle 5 confederate generals died there). weather can be tricky during that time of year so depending on where you are coming from. if you are a northerner you will probably be ok, but if coming from fl or ca need some warm cloths. hope you enjoy your stay and get some great shots.
try the web and try the middle tennessee area for sights. everything i mentioned is within an hour of downtown Nashville.

Carnton Plantation, Belle Meade Plantation, Printers alley....unfortunately you are coming during the first time in years that we are expected to have snow and temps below 20 degrees.
Also check out the Frist Art Museum, It is downtown near Broadway.

Shoot, that's a heat wave for us. We're getting about 6" of snow when my wife and I are leaving.
We did the General Jackson cruise when we were there last time and it was good. Good entertainment and pretty decent food.
