Ok IMO looks like crap taken with a holga or a lomo.. but I have to say it has TONS of style.. seeing these makes me want to shoot them with 1/1 flash in the in the middle of a sunny day and just ramp a super strong curve on them.

Ok my question is :
Should try to get a more conventional "properly exposed" @ about 7:00pm shot and butcher it (I have pretty strong PS skills) or do i go with the previous suggestion and shoot "gnarly"

Can't answer your question, but these photos look cool to me.

That brings up a subject that always puzzled me, and that's people's obsession with sharpness. It is important but it's no be all end all criteria for judging a photo IMO.

You could go "traditional" and goof it up in Photoshop and present "your style" and then "their style" and they get to choose which one they like. Plus you get to have some fun in Photoshop. :D

Get a Holga and a scanner. Return you empty pop cans and use the cash to buy a Holga. Get them to pay for the scanner. J/K I'd like to see if you can just shoot it that way, but I bet it be a snap for you to shoot it RAW and goof it up from there. You can probably get most of the effect in ACR 3.1 Your just going to have to forget everything you know...
Severe under exposure at high ISO may help. Here is one that if processed "As Shot" would have been completely black. http://plan-b.smugmug.com/photos/17489669-L.jpg (http://plan-b.smugmug.com/photos/17489669-M.jpg)

Thanks!

If you got it, flaunt it! Just make sure you torque the body when you hit the shutter so you get cool light leaks.

Can't wait to see what comes of this.

There's only a time cost, so shoot anything you're inclined to. Someday what you've learned may turn out to be useful in some way. ;-)

Just re-read this and honestly sharpness was the furthest thing on my mind.. the main thing is the fact that the black in the eyes is soo bad they don't have eyes.. I mentioned in my post that I thought they had a TON of style. I just want to try and do it and preserve a Lil more of the person's features
