Hi there. These were taken tonight here on the harbor in Charleston.

The first is intriguing, made me want to go there and shoot it myself.

The second is fabulous! Beautiful!

The more pics of Charleston that I see, the more I want to go there myself.

I am guessing you had to crop the top down to eliminate something that wasn't helping the picture. If you had more room to show more background, it might be even better.

I like both shots, but really love the second. I have to ask though, because I lived in Charleston back in 88-90 when I was in the Navy... Is the suspension bridge new? I don't remember seeing that before...

It's due to open July 16th. It's the longest cable-stayed span in North America, and is called the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. They had 3 years to build it and did it in 2. I don't know how comfortable that makes me!

Thanks, Michael. Are they going to close the old bridge?

Anyway, I really love the second picture - each time I look at it, I think I like it even more.

Michael, I think both shots are superb. The old and new bridges composed like you did it is a stroke of genius. The other one is just gorgeous. It has been too long since I visited Charleston.

Love 'em. Hope the first is a bit more rugged than the second looks :-)

I was stationed there '85-'90, and the suspension beridge wasn't there. The other bridge is the Cooper River Bridge...

Nice images - the second has the look of Dawsons Creek about it.... really nice. Thanks for posting.
