Today is my oldest son's 4th birthday. He has been asking for a drum set like the Wiggles or Doodlebops. All parents with young kids will know these names. Anyway, you can see the delima. DRUMS?!??!?! OMG! How about a sound proof room? Well we caved and he was well more than excited. Here are some pics of our family celebration. My birthday (yesterday), His birthday and a little father's day all rolled into one. His big birthday bash, a priate theme is tomorrow! Rest assured you will see so many pics of my kids you will immediately avoid my posts!
Funny thing is after my youngest had her turn at the drum set and my boy played for a while, what do you think they played with most of the night? LOL correct, the box. Here are pics of the mayhem! Thansk for looking.

Looks like a great time! Luckily, my 3 yr old wants to play guitar like his dad and Murry. Not quite so noisy and I can tune his guitar to an open chord and all he has to do is strum in time!
Good luck with the headaches! I could recommend some good ear protection for you!
Seriously though, you should get your kids some head phone ear protection. Ears are so sensitive to damage at that age. But I'm sure you know that with your guitar in your pic.
Make some music, photo the art!

Paraphrasing Indiana Jones: "Drums...why did it have to be drums?" :D You're a braver man than me! I guess it coulda been worse...it could have been whistles! :p
Love the last pic with your boy in the box. It seems that kids can many times enjoy the box much more than that which came in the box. The box is a fort, a cave, a hideout, a rocket, a boat, or a thousand other things that kids can think of.

Well, and this is one of the rare occasions where the parents are actually happy that their kids play with the box instead of with the expensive contents
Great shots, Dante!
I remember it very well ... when I was 12 years old, my parents got me to play the drum in the local marching band ... for about 2 weeks. Then everybody said they couldn't stand the noise of me practising any longer (and that was after I had gone out to our garden, 150 meters behind the house, to practise in order to cut down the noise a bit).
Best regards,
Andy

Aww, that's so cute. Drums are fun. I just hammered on the piano mom bought dad. Then mom figured I should take lessons instead of just hitting the keys! LOL

Thank you all for looking, commenting and saharing a special time in my boy's life. Please make sure to write me and dont call as I am now deaf with only the timphanic echos running thru my broken ear drums. LOL
Oh had his formal birthday party today. I am currently wading thru 4 GB of photos to process and share.
