My wife decided that it was time for my photography to start contributing back to the family so I was commissioned to do his birthday invitation. I took about 50 pictures but couldn't match the expression I found in one of the older pics of him. A little photoshop (lot for me) and I think it looks pretty good.

Now let me know where I messed up.

Thanks.

very cute pic. Very cute little man. I think that the pixelated sesame street characters take away from a wonderful capture. Maybe replace them with smaller shots of newborn, 3 mos, 6 mos and 9 mos shots showing the progression of his 1st year.

Well thats my take anyway. Cute as heck anyway you do it. Have a blast at teh party!

My suggestions would be to try and get him centered more in the picture (maybe by cropping the left side of the photo a little. Also, why do Ernie and Elmo seem out of focus? Desired effect?

Oh yeah...it does look very good! Great concept!

And I think the other baby pictures idea by dante is a good idea too. Or search the web to get better character photos.

Love the idea, and this works well. I do have a bit of a pedantic question though, why have you put an apostrophe s ('s) after the IV ?

Those were the best pictures I could find on the web, believe it or not. But then again it was printed at 4x8 so at that size they looked fine.

Neil, I Ibelieve the reason is my total lack of grasp for the english language. My first language is Cajun. Which anyone who has been to South Louisiana can tell you is FAR from being close to english!!!! To answer your question the reason I put it there was to make it possesive. Correct or not that is why.

Now can someone answer the question of being Grammaticly Correct for the US. (Not sure if its different in the UK)

Thanks for pointing it out Neil my grammar getts better each time someone corrects me.
