A few birds from my recent trip to the Florida Keys. The wildlife and plant life there is just amazing! Everywhere you look there is something either flying, walking or swimming by.

White Ibis out for an early morning stroll on a golf course.

Burrowing Owl guarding the nest on the same golf course. Glad to see they are tagged and someone is watching out for them. It's mate was watching me from a tree to make sure I didn't get to close.

Great White Egret. After returning from fishing this fella came walking down the bulkhead to our boat to see what we caught and get a bite to eat while we cleaned the fish. Very friendly too, I think he enjoyed posing for the camera. He stayed for quite awhile and let me photograph him.

Great photos! I love the color contrast on the first one with the aqua blue rope. What camera are you using?

Thanks everyone:)

Camera was the Drebel. First 3 were taken with the Sigma 70-300 @ 300mm. That lens is a little soft at that setting, but not bad. Last shot was with the Sigma 18-125.

I really like the 18-125mm. Some complain about focus issues, but I've had no problems. It stays on my camera 90% of the time and the zoom range covers just about everything.
