Can someone please advise how to display the date on the picture while viewing the picture and/or printing.

When viewing photos on the camera, to show the date the photo was taken simply press the Display button.

I don't think there is a way of printing photos with a date stamp.

If you want to print the date/time on the picture, you can either use ZoomBrowser EX and PhotoRecord (the printing component) or connect the camera to a PictBridge compatible printer and select the options to print the date/time.
