I have a 35mm SLR elanII and want to use the lens' for my digital rebel. I keep getting an error message when I try to take a picture. I was instructed to switch the lens to manual and it worked one time and now it will not work. Please help.

Do you get 'Err 99' when you try to take a shot with these lenses? Older Sigma lenses need to be 'patched' by Sigma to work with Canon DSLRs. Do a search for 'Err99' and you'll find threads on the topic.

Gordon is right on the money re the older Sigma lenses needing to be rechipped to work with the digital EOS camera. Sigma may even do it for free if the lens isn't that old (sorry, don't have any specific details on that but you can call Sigma customer service and ask them).
