Mow Cop Castle, which is high on the border of Staffordshire and Cheshire, England, is in fact not a real castle at all, but a folly built hundreds of years ago.
Here are two versions of the same shot, but I can't decide which is the better of the two - can you help make up my mind?

I like the color picture best. I'm not a big fan of black and white. B&W should only be used when taking pictures of old men over 90, and even then it should be used sparingly.:)

It is a scene that lens itself well to grey scale. I cannot tell on my laptop screen if the contrast is as high as I would like it but, none the less a noteworthy image.
Just my opinion of course.

In BW does not have the dramatic effect one would expect. I like the color best.

Nice scene, but the B&W needs more contrast.
