CF card full

All of a sudden I cam't retrieve the images on my CF card. In the camera, I get a message"Full CF" but I can't bring up any of the pictures I had taken either in the camera or when i put it in the computer.

Do you have a card reader or are you connecting directly to the camera? If you do have a reader, which is my preferred method, can you see the files in a file manager. Which camera are we talking about?

i know on the 1dmk2, you get a 'full' message when you roll-over from 9999 to 0000. that caught me out the first 2 times it happened. it's easy to fix, though.
