I have a chocolate poodle. When I take his photo, it looks like he has lanterns for eyes.
How do you arrange lighting to avoid this?
Clearly, I can't take a photo with Rocky looking at me. The problem is that he is a ham, and pops into photos of others.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to arrange lighting so you don't get "ghost eyes?"

You have to either bounce your flash or use off-camera flash. The reflection from the eyes is actually aimed directly at your flash, not at your lens. The close proximithy of your flash to your lens is what is giving you "pet eye".

Thanks. I get the same results without any flash. When I pick up a flash with bounce capability, I'll try your suggestions.

Same results without a flash? I doubt it.
It'd be great, if you could post a sample picture to show the problem. Maybe even one with, one without flash. That way it'd be a lot easier to share some tips.
