S230 CF card hot swappable on USB card reader?

Hi,
First time using a digital camera.
I have a USB CF card reader and using windows XP. Would just like to know if the card is hot swappable? Can I just insert it and then pull it out when done or is there a "proper" way to eject it, like stop it first then eject it?

Just hot swap it. Nothing to start or stop.
