My friend and I stumbled into a football match the other day. As I've been wanting to try out the telezoom for sports (yeah, I know, it's not the best lens for it) I took some shots. Not that many good action shots, but I still think I did fairly well for my first time!

I think maybe you cranked up the sharpness a bit too far.
