Have any of you set photography goals for yourself for the new year?
For me I set a few:
1) to get out shooting more often and try to stay creative
2) I'd like to submit a few photos to magazines for their reader submission sections (and preferably be picked)
3) I would like to get past my 'fear' of photographing people and do at least 2 photoshoots

Try to get to some of the places I have never been (SE Asia).

get paid! ;D
haha j/k... kinda. My goal is to let the hobby fund itself. I'll only buy new equipment with money I make from photography.

Let whatever gear I buy be funded by photography assignments WHILE studying and scoring well enough to get the go-ahead from my parents with regards to buying gear ;)

Ditto. Minus the parents part as I live on my own. Working full time during the day, and taking a full load of courses every night leaves very little time for hobbies. o_O

Tall ones:
1) Learn how to use my lighting tools better
2) Learn how to shoot much better/sharper portraits
3) Learn and apply portrait processing techniques
I'm truly hoping that the lighting part will happen through trial and error because I'm following the directions and not getting the results right now!
