Hi Pekka, all,

I'm just wondering if it's possible to have a single exhibition that you upload to via one path, but which can be viewed from two different exhibition sites?

e.g if I had two exhibitions at "exhibition1.com" and two at "exhibition2.com", is it possible that one exhibition from each site could share the same source and show identical information from whichever site you access it?

Thanks,
KO

Hi WarrenO!

Thanks for your reply. I think I understand things a bit better, but am currently playing around with virtual directories.
Looking at your two sites, they both seem to point to the same root folder, whereas my domains are seperate folders, so I'm not sure if it will work.

My websites are as follows;
www.tobie.co.uk (http://www.tobie.co.uk)
www.isaiyah.co.uk (http://www.isaiyah.co.uk)

The albums are hidden, however I'd like both sites to share just one exhibition. Ideally I would be able to upload to this exhibition via either upload page [but not have to use both], and would be able to see recent uploads via both websites. I'm not going to get chance to experiment with it much tonight so any further advice may come in handy for next time I get a look.

BTW, I really like some of your child portraits!
Particularly the b&w of the girl and baby on http://www.exclusivecomputers.com/en-exclusive_exhibit_01.htm . Mesmerizing!!

Oh no, no messing arround with virual servers, just install EE on both servers and make sure the pahts in "Path Setup" of both exhibition sites are the same.

Hi Guys,

mvrekum:Thanks for your advice. I logged in to have a look but as the paths are relative to size rather than location I don't think the answer lies here.

WarrenO: In response to your queries, the sites are on the same server. In fact I am co-host of the server so the possibilities are virtually endless, but I don't deal with the database side of things that much and I think this is where the answer lies. You mention that your sites share a mysql databases; - my sites each have ther own mysql databases so I'll either need to reinstall the lot using a single database or find a way to cross reference an exhibition in two databases. I'd much rather the latter if anyone knows how this is possible?

Thanks again

I've looked at some of the information in the DB tables using MYSQL front and I'm guessing there will be a way to add or edit some tables to cross reference one exhibition's contents with that of an exhibition in a second database. Like I say though, my knowledge of databases is poor so if anyone could advise what entries I'd need to add or edit?
Thanks,
