I noticed these great clouds on my way home, so despite the gridlocked traffic, I ran in the house, grabbed my camera, and went out to the highest hill in the area to take the first picture. You can see the gridlock on I-405 there..
Then I stopped in the park on the way back and got the second image.

Steve-
I like your shots. Is that the area of I-405 by the Boeing plant? ...looking north?
Anyway, I have a Q about your clouds...have you done any sharpening to them? ...either in camera or in post processing? I always debate over how much USM to apply to clouds.
Just the right amout of depth of field for the flower.

Both great photos. The clouds look like a perfect day and the flower is terrific, great color and sharpness. You are evidently not having the same weather at your end of the state....the clouds look flatter and greyer in the Vancouver area. And they are leaking something.

Boeing is just to the left, out of the picture.
I did sharpen the image. I shot jpeg, with the camera set to Parameter 1, then applied some subtle USM (0, .3, 170) after resizing.
