Did anybody see this amazing TV episode on National Geographic Channel?

It was about an award winning NG photographer who followed the life of an Afghan guerrila leader. The photographer talks about the images he captured and what was going on in his mind. Its worth viewing.

By the way, he was using a Canon camera (looks like a 5D) with 24-105L and 70-200 f2.8L.

It was great! I wish NG would do more shows featuring their photographers.

There is a channel on Time Warner that is a photography channel. It features work of quite a few "masters" over the years. It's very interesting to see their work and inspiration behind the work.

I love National Geographic Channel. There are so many cool shows on there. My kids are glued to that channel over the cartoon networks many times.

Phenomenal channel...incredible documentary.

The leader of the Northern Alliance, took on the Russians with sticks and stones and kicked their ass! General Massoud (sp?), right?...the journalist was exceptional. Total devotion to the story. Nat Geo is a lot of fun to watch...but once in a while, gems like this one really stand out...

If you haven't seen the show, check it out. His first time around (when Massoud was alive), he did the pilgrimage to that place DURING the war! Almost got himself killed several times. Very interesting guy and about as passionate as they come!

If I knew there were a TV station I wouldn't buy so many magazines...well actually I take that back, there's nothing like having the print in your hands.

The story looks pretty incredible, I'll have to read into it a bit more.

I thought it was good also and was wondering how many other members caught it. It is worth seeing if one missed it.
