I took these today at the F1 practice in Indianapolis. I'm mostly happy with these pictures, but I wish my pictures were a lot sharper than they came out. I apologize for the fences in the way. There isn't a lot of places on the track (probably about 20 feet total!) where you can get shots without the fences. It's the nature of the track :( Expect more tomorrow! I hope you guys like.

My favorite of the Michelin Porsche Supercup, the Forum Gelb car(s). These are great, as they always push the turns to the hardest, as you can see.

# 3 and 4 I really liked. Ihate fences too, but they are there for a good reason. I can't wait to see that race on Sunday (on TV though :( )

I'd love the Ferrari Challenge. However, the Porsche Supercup is a ton of fun. I got pictures of those later.

I'd like to note that I am not doing post-processing to my pictures, just cropping the good ones, resizing, and posting.

here are a few photos from that disapointing race.....i would still go back to see them race again at indy......it will not stop me from seeing a race series that i love......anyways....i like this track...my first time there......i have been to montreal 3 times and i like indy better....more relaxed...you get to see every part of the track on saturday for only $20 us....try that in canada......i will post more later.....by the way....i took about 300 photos....probably more...because i deleted some....what would be the best way to save them to disk....should i save them as a jpeg..or psd......i shot in jpeg....raw to slow for motorsports with my rebel.

rosco, great shots. Those definately prove a point to those that claim the rebel cannot be used for sports.

Wow, where did you shoot those pictures from? No fence! Nice crisp shots. How did you get them that nice? I never can.

What a dissapointment! My 6th time at Indy and first for my wife. What a shame. Will post pics of the Ferrari test session later.

Nice shots by the way

I think that is the end of F1 in the US and probably will effect its long-term future elsewhere. Once Bernie's contracts have expired with the teams then F1 will get a fresh start. I think we will see more of the teams saying no to the various dictates of the F1 junta over the next few months and IMHO about time too. Personally I am so disinterested in F1 that I didn't even hear about the fiasco until some 30 or so hours later. I'm just sorry it was you guys that had to be on the wrong end of things.

Anyway, A1-GP starts in September and that promises to be a far better proposition for the viewing public. Put Danika in an A1 seat and I'd bet you would have a massive US support.

The last shot of the FFFFFFFF (can't type the word ) of the orange car :p, is fantastic :cool:

I feel sorry for all the fans that showed up to the farce, none more so than a friend and his g/f that flew from the UK for the "race".

It's RED mate, McLarens are the cars that are supposed to be orange. You're getting confused in your old age :p

The Ferrari pan is very good. I am less impresed with the tilt shot, but then I don't like tilt shots... ;)

Might as well submit mine also. I was workin with a 75mm lens, I mainly went to the "race" to just enjoy myself and not sweat over pictures. So much for that... :(

OMG...if you look at the very bottom of that guy's shirt on the right hand side (your right), you'll see a red cooler. That was mine. lol

By the way, here's one of mine...still a might amateurish, but much better than last year's crop.

Nice shots. The race was BS but the weekend was fun.

Question - how much post processing did you do? I took about 450 pics there and only about 10 looked like they had potential when I shuffled through them on my computer.
