I think I am starting to get better at polar alignment. I was doing 45s subs instead of the usual 15s or 30s and all the lights remain as a round circle. I might push it to 1 minute next. I took 12 frames, 45 seconds each of Sirius (9 minutes worth of data). It was very difficult to get the colors out in DSS. Maybe I am just confused on how to work the curve, it would be greatly appreciated if someone can give me some pointers on how to extract those hidden colors from the tif file generated by DSS.

The 'scope started to fog up unevenly toward the end of the session, so the halo around Sirius A is irregular.

You'll find that most people don't do much PP in DSS. They take the TIFF file to another program to extract the hidden data there. Nice job!

I like it, but why is it darker to the bottom right of Sirius, almost as though the glow from it stops more suddenly than elsewhere?
