Dormant for 60,000 years, Capulin Volcano is a fascinating national monument in NE New Mexico. The first shot was taken from the top rim looking down into the crater. You can see the trail that leads to the bottom of the crater. The second shot is the view across the range toward Oklahoma. Both taken with 10-22 mm lens and CPL.

Beautiful Stan - it is a great year for this part of the west this spring thanks to all the rain and snow. We have hiked the rim trail several times - such grand vistas from up there.

Thanks Togs & Harold. BTW, Harold, where are you located?

I live in Boulder, Colorado, Stan. About 1/4 mile from Open Space, and 1 1/2 miles from the base of the Third Flatiron.

Nice photo. Beautiful colors.
It's always good to see a few landscapes of my home state.
If you have others, it would be nice to take a peek. :-)

Now you got me feeling all homesick. :-)
Fantastic gallery of NM pictures. Reminds me that I need to visit Mom when the Balloon Fiesta rolls around again.
Thanks!
