By the end of the week I should be the proud owner of a '99 Subaru Impreza Turbo PPP !!
I can't wait.

I'm going to be paying for it for a fair while, but that's par-for-the-course on this forum :-)

Does anyone know what the Prodrive Performance Pack comprises of ? I know it includes the exhaust, but surely there's more for a £1600 factory upgrade ?

Pics should be here the day I get it

Gary.

yup...the 22B, RB5, P1, UK300, and the Tommy Makinen Edition

The PPP I think includes stuff like Engine Management, Exhaust, and typical suspension and performance upgrades. I think the newer wrxs get 265hp as opposed to 225hp

Dark Blue Mica, I believe. It might be something to do with the aggressive jpeg compression needed to get it under 100kb.

Is the 2.5 any quicker

My 98 is about 0-60 in 4.7 and about 285 BHP and still going well after 100,000 miles but getting a bit tatty round the edges

The 2.5 is more powerful but not really quicker than that. The GC body style is considerably lighter than the current My04/MY05 body styles. A friend of mine had put a turbo on our 2.5 GC body style impreza and dyno'd around 280 and was at least very close in quickness to my '04 2.5 STi.

Then he went to a Turbo'd 2.2 and made some 380Hp at the wheels, and was quite a bit quicker than me at that point.

Very nice car, I've always loved that body style Impreza.
