I hope I am posting this the right way. I would like some critique and suggestions to improve the photo. Thanks so much. Lenny

The real challenge, in my opinion, of taking a picture of such a well-known subject is to capture something that doesn't look like you can buy it for 99 cents in the gift shop. This is a competent shot. The exposure and white balance are good, given the night-time setting. I would clone out the white speck in the light beam. You might try a tighter crop in order to eliminate some of the clutter on the left and right. The people in the right foreground and the head in the middle are distractions.
Otherwise, I can't say what you could have done to make this a more unique shot. Perhaps get your family in the shot with fill flash? When you look at it years from now, that's what you'll appreciate.

..... of such a well-known subject.....
No idea what this is. My first impression was that this was some sort of fun hat, photoshopped (and well done!) on top of a street scene. Forgive my ignorance.
I like the shot very much and wonder where/what this is.
And @joedlh: sometimes it can be very rewarding to get the same (or better) result as the shots you can buy in the giftshop..... Somehow it proves that you are capable of doing at least the same thing as the professional that supplied the shot for the card :)

I went crazy taking Disney World photos with my new camera. The hat is in Disney world Orlando FL. I guess I felt it was unique to me being an amateur and trying to improve my skills. Thanks for the critique. I accept all forms. That is the only way to learn. Lenny Yes I will try something more original for my next post.

Some where in Disney World or Downtown Disney in Orlando, FL. First time I've seen this hat.

I don't get why you would have too.... You took shot that appealed to you. It's a nice snap shot. If anything, take out the specs, some color adjustments and straighten the picture just a tad on the pp end and your photo would be better.
