So did you just ask this guy if you could take a picture of him? I'm going to Costa Rica here in a month, and i'd love to get candid shots like this.

1. That is Cartagena, COlombia
2. The guy was posing, so it's not a candid

Seriously, though, I always ask first. Only on some occassions I take candids; I don't like them too much, since the subjects are usually looking everywhere else, but the camera.
