Got a cruise planned for Oct of this year, and I intend to go on a Stingray Encounter and take an SD300 and the Canon all weather housing with me (water proof up to 10 feet). Granted, I won't be going any deeper than I am tall (like 6 feet), but I'm curious if anyone can give me some info on underwater photography so that I can snap a few underwater pics of these beautiful creatures.
Thanks in advance

1. The deeper you go, the more red colors you lose in your pictures so a flash would be very handy for truer colors.
2. If you do use a flash, make sure it's way off to the side of the camera. The water can have all kinds of stuff floating in it that you can't see until you take a picture and the light gets reflected off of them.
3. Whether you're using natural lighting or a flash, remember that the light dimishes a lot faster underwater than in the air so may need to bump up your ISO to compensate although at 10 feet or less, it may not be that big a deal.
4. Once you get that camera in the case and in the water, you won't have access to the controls of the camera except the shutter button so make sure you have all the camera settings correctly set up before you go into the water.

I just want to make sure I got this right...this housing says it allows access to all camera functions...at least I think so. Did I misread it?

Oops! Looks like my advice is a little outdated regarding the controls available via the case. Sorry. It seems like you'll have full access to all the control with the case you are talking about. :o
