Just trying the new toy. Fully open and hand held.

I include the final result (levels+slight gaussian blur+USM) and a 100% crop from the unprocessed 8 bit tiff.

I believe I got a keeper, and that shurely this lens is crisp and rocks! What do you think?

I think it might be impossible NOT to get a bad example of this lens ,it's a stunner :) :) (focus misscalibration issues aside)

Poor puddycat looks abit worried,lol

The face doesn't look very sharp to me in the top pic.

I sold me 50mm F1.8, I got a lot of OOF shots with it, even after calibration, which doesn't seem to happen with the 50mm F1.4. Quite a few people have had similar problems, but many people are happy with their lenses.
