Looks like I'll be shooting at the House of Blues in Boston. Has anyone shot there? Looking for the best lens selection ideas. I have the option of the following lenses - 70-200L 2.8, 35L, 85L, 24L.
Thoughts on the glass to use? I'm aiming for 2 or 3 max.

Never shot at HoB, Boston, but I would go with the following:
70-200, 24L, 35L
I assume the 70-200 will probably be on your camera most of the time, and that you will most likely have plenty of light. I would take both the 24L and the 35L since they are relatively small and lightweight and will give you additional focal length options.

depends on yr style...i've shot there a bunch of times, and i find that i use my 24-70 and 70-200 most of the time (i've got two bodies). i always bring a prime though, since lighting can be tough sometimes. if i were you i'd bring the zoom, and the two shorter primes.
who are you shooting?

Is the 70-200mm f/2.8 an IS version? I'd go with the fastest glass and IS, first...
What body are u using?

I think the 135L and 35L are good choices.

i have both of those lenses, but they rarely get brought to or used @ HoB...there's typically enough stage lighting so that an f/2.8 zoom is a good choice, w/ far greater flexibility.

Used the 70-200L 2.8 IS and the 24L. Had to bump up the ISO on the 7D to 6400 when using the 70-200.
Great show as expected. Now I have to more thoroughly read through the agreement to figure out the photos usage.
Thanks everyone for the lens ideas.

New Hobby -- Have you posted your shots anywhere? I'd be interested to see how the 7D handles 3200 and 6400 ISO.

the Bim Skala Bim ones are shot with the 70-200L 2.8 IS at 6400. B&W because I was not a fan of the lighting / having WB issues with my monitor that I need to fix.
No NR in camera but I did take the default in LR.
The The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are shot from ISO 1600 up.

Yeah perhaps not at the HoB, but in general...

i dunno, if i am shooting under the 3 song rule, i'd much prefer the flexibility of zooms. when a band is playing a 2800 ppl capacity venue, chances are very good that the lighting will be sufficient to use f/2.8 lenses.

I'd agree.
