Hi All,
just wanted to check if anyone else is having the problem I'm having re' this site not loading and functioning well a lot of the time now. I find I regularly have to close out and come back again and other times it just doesn't work at all, just refuses to connect. No trouble with other sites! I do know it gets busy here!!
Roger.

Had a few problems recently where I get no page to display errors. Can last for 10 or so minutes and then work perfectly fine.

It always seems to come back within 2-3 minutes for me. Pekka had a post on it recently.

Yeah but that related to specific times where a backup runs. Lately this has occurred on more random times.

I like your thinking!! As an owner of a tea shop, I can only hope that everyone has a good cuppa when their computer is acting up or even when it's working perfectly!!:D

if I had that many visitors I too would crack up now and again

That was a daily reboot. Server monitor has not recorded any hiccups other than 3 "known" per day caused by two backups and one reboot. Then there is log script analyze done half an hour before reboot and that will slow things down a bit for few minutes.

Please read what I wrote in http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79071

.... and just now, 15 minutes after reboot the first backup was done (3 minutes downtime). See the time of this post so you know when it is in your timezone.

I'm sorry that these maintenance downtimes hit mostly European users, but I have to decide some moment to do them and when it is 4 am in US sounds best to me.
