Are those wooden or steel shades? Seems steel would be a killer if you touched it at noon!

Is this HDR?
Looks more like alluminum to me, which doesn't get very hot (doesn't conduct heat well).

Very interesting, is that all that is around them? Is there a road around there or all sand?

That looks trippy! Is it usually busy there?

Is this HDR?
No. I guess it might be a distant, forgotten cousin - slide film.

White Sands, NM. All sand - the road to them is also sand. Hot, white sand. I saw no picnickers.

It's usually very hot. Mostly tourists and locals taking time off from the cooler areas.

A timeless place. I think I saw a Winnograd shot of the same spot (only with those 60's era cars to date it).

All that shot needs now is a woman with cat eye glasses and tight capri pants flipping burgers, a Studebaker in the BG, a couple of guys wearing patterned, short sleave shirts and jeans with dark framed glasses while chugging Coors beer in a can and some kids running around.
Or not...
I like the image just the way it is Tuna. Nicely exposed. I havent fired up my old Canon 630 in a long time. I wonder if I can still get batteries for it? Hmmmm...
