The raw file is here (http://bellik.free.fr/zigouat.zip).
I have never been satisfied with my conversion. So please let me see your tries. The pic has been taken with a PowerShot S30, so you will not be able to use capture one for this file, but RSE, Adobe Camera Raw and BreezeBrowser will work.
Here is my conversion

Here's my "Quicky". 2 conversions, one warm, & one green. Blended in PS & sharpened a bit.
(As usual, I went a bit nuts! It helps to not have seen the original scene, so I have no pre-conceived idea of what it looked like!) ;)

Wow,. I love what you did with the water and horizon... that's really nice!
If you don't mind me saying.. I'm a little concerned though about the "warmth" of the cliff... could be my monitor though.

Thanks. The angle of the light reminded me of sunrise, so I just went with it. Next, "Moonrise"! :D;)

Just leaving the house but had to throw in my 5 minute creation first. I liked the buildings on the top so I tried to bring them out a bit as well as do a little with the horizon that was blown out in the original version. There are a few rough spots but I didn't spend much time.

very interesting effect !
looks like it is a landscape from another planet !
may be it could be even better with a little less contrast
(or may be it's my screen...)

I thought the sky was too close to the buildings, so I sort of added a bit of new sky instead. :D

I agree, it's better with more sky !
but it seems to me there is too much contrast in the pic, or to much saturation in the colors...
I like the white balance you used, the colors are close to the real colors (with less saturation)

I love the contrast and saturation... sorry. I sometime goes overboard with it. :D But I was having "post card" in my mind for some reason. I made a fairly warm convertion (like I always do) and then I made an adjustment layer with photo filter (blue) and made a mask to mask out the warm cliff to cool the water to make the contrast bigger from the orange cliff and the blue water and sky. And then I went a bit crazy with the contrast and saturation sliders... but you can skip that part. :)

Hi all
Here is my quick attempt. I just boosted the contrast and used selective levels.

Even though this thread is a little dated I gave it a quick try in RSE:
seems imageshack doesn't won't to cooperate ...

Check your color profile, you probably did this in non-RGB, causing the colors to get distorted converting the file to jpeg.
I run into the "purple sky demon" everytime I forget the color space adjustment need.

No its done in RGB but I think its more of the way RSE converts some colors. Hopefully the Premium version will correct this as I've seen it discussed on their Forum.
