I know they all SUCK! I have no clue how to get good pictures out of this camera, I'm such a n00b :(! If anyone can help with links to tutorials or something that would be awesome. I just picked it up 2 days ago, it is the Drebel XT with the kit lens. So here are some pics:

:D Those aren't terrible! Look at the "Sitcky"s at the top of "Talk About Photography" (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13) for a lot of helpful info, & keep at it. It does get easier! ;)

They don't suck, that first building is fabulous. We don't have history like that where I live, it looks like it's from the Tudor era, or very well replicated :-)

I've just brought myself an XT too, great piece of equipment. We can share the learning journey on here :-)

Thanks alot for the comments guy, I really appreciate it, helps lift my spirits ;). I wish I had gotten a better picture of the first building, but I was actually leaving princeton so I snapped that from my car window while trying to pay attention to the signal in front of me ;).

The NEW firmware update for the XT will drive your car while you take a picture:lol:.

Those aren't terrible pictures at all. You can't expect to just pick up your camera and instantly become Ansel Adams. It's all about creative expression, and it takes time and practice to make photos as good as some of the senior members of this forum and others. Continue to read, practice, and develop over time. You'll be surprised how much you improve in even a few months.

It looks like you're already off to a good start! :)
