 Hello,

I have a new power shot A95. So far I really like it but it is alot to learn and my memory is not good...too bad I can't get an up grade like my computer.

I have made som movies and I would like to edit them. They are too big to put on my webpage.

When I go to -programs- Canon utilities- movie edit task-....it shows a menu with Movie Edit Task readme, and Movie edit task uninstall, There is nothing there to run the program?

OK so I tried running the Canon ZoomBrowser EX -View and Modify- Edit Movie.....I get a windows pop up that says "Quicktime components which are necessary to execute MovieEdit task have not been installed. install Quick time components. Sellect (recommended) from install options when you install quicktime."

I checked and I currently have QuickTime 6.3.....I don't understand what I am supposed to be installing?

Can anyone help me out to get this working? Talk to me like a child I am not very computer literate. Thank you ;)
Nan

Not sure if I'm giving you the correct info, Nan, but I read the Canon Software Starter Guide - and on p. 29, it discusses Quick Time, which it says is on the Digital Camera Solution Disk.
If you downloaded your version of Quick Time from another source, I suppose it is possible that a program particular to the movie editing might be missing.
Maybe try re-installing with the Software Solutions Disc?

OK makes sense. Maybe there is something on the disk that i NEED.....
I installed the quicktime 6.5 that came with the disk.

ran ZoomBrowser EX and tried edit....Pop up " No image editor could be run. You may select an image editor through Preferences on the tool menu."
There is nothing in the box in preferences for me to select.... now seems like I am worse off then before. ZoomBrowser is messed up The window used for editing has blank(white) areas where the editing tools are.....this really doesn't matter because I always use PSP. I just really want to be abolt to edit the movie I make with this power Shot A95

I guess I need to uninstall everything and start over.:( Either that or buy easy to use software that will edit the AVI files produced by this camera.

Thanks for your help :) If anyone else has any advice I am open to it.
