Grafton Street in Dublin is the premier shopping street in Dublin and whatever the weather there is always a busker of two, but on a good day in the Summer there are usually loads of buskers. Today was probably our best day this Summer so far. Here is a selection of the buskers, entertainers and artists that were plying their crafts for coins. Hope you enjoy.

One: Solo Violinist playing Bach

Two: Spray paint artist, this guy creates amazing space landscapses in a couple of minutes.

Three: These two violinists were part of a qunitet and were drawing such a crowd it was hard for shoppers to get around the crowds of people

very nice Daragh

really nice to see so many
I like how the people in the background in the first shot can be barely seen behind the artist
(as tourists and enjoying themselves)
the shots are lovely showing the atmosphere around there
I think # 7 is my favourite , not sure though as I like them all

Kind of reminds me of New Orleans on a spring day. All the street performers and artists out doing their thing. Man that makes me want to go out for a day with my camera. Looks like I found my next outing.

I cant get over those shoes! ha!

I have a pair of shoes like that, they're called Tabi boots. You can either get short or long ones where they either stop at your ankle or go up your leg to the calf. Usually associated with ninjas, because they'd use the split toe for leverage while climbing various things.

they're quite interesting feeling to wear (and they make nylon socks shaped that way as well to wear with them) but no padding on the bottom of the foot whatsoever

Yes it is a great place to take pictures and with all the noise of people around you don't have any problems with shutter sounds, anyway none of the buskers mind being photographed provided you drop a few coins in their hats. The only problem with yesterday it was so hot and the sun always seemed to be in the wrong place

Marie, the guy in the seventh one is a strange character, I do not know what he is supposed to be doing, the "instrument" in his left hand is a cut up hurley, hardly traditional to his country. He just stands there howling and gruggling! Anyway I enjoy them all and they make interesting phot oppurtunities, I am fed up with the zoo for the moment!

Chemicalbro, I think it was just the Irish variety, I think she was trying to get the wings to go with the costume!

That puppet is the scariest thing I have seen on these forums.

He was the best, but some kids thought he was scary. After one kid ran up to throw money in his hat the puppet starred into the hat and slowly raised his head and turned around to look after the child, who had run off back to the safety of his mother. When the puppet saw the childs pushchair was empty he stood up, ran and jumped into the chair.

The puppet seemed in very well worn condition, you can see the paint on his nose is chipped and the knees of his trousers are worn, becuase in the act he kisses the ground and kneels a lot and I suppose it looks more realistic. His face was painted naturally but the puppeteer was so skilled you would swear that you could see the expression changing on the puppets face. It was the most skilful performance with a puppet I have ever seen.
