Someone asked how much to change the shutter speed using the same light but metering at F:2.8 and then shooting at F:32. That reminded me of a question I've had ever since beginning to use a digital camera.

Do digital cameras exhibit reciprocity failure as does film when there is a significant change in exposure time? By that I mean not only density issues but color shifts

The only thing I've seen on long digital exposures is problems with noise. I haven't seen anything about reciprocity failure.

I agree. I don't think reciprocity failure will happen with digital. Color noise will happen with a long exposure, but I don't think you will see any exposure change or color shift.

There is no reciprocity with digital sensors - the light accumulation is linear.
