I love everything about it, but the stick that looks like it is about to pick his nose..

Yep, it looks a bit funny, but helps with the composition, I mean overall timing of the photo. It was hard to take the picture exactly when thy cyclist reached the empty space between the branches... Thanks for your comment!

Nice picture.

Though the feeling I get by looking at it is more like "ahead of" rather than "left behind". Maybe he needs to be on the left side of the frame.

Good work with exposure and balance.

I think it is great, but would like to see a few less branches.

Excellent photo, the one branch just before him kind of bothers me, but I still like it.

Interresting, for me if he was on the left side, feel like "Coming into" the frame rather than "Leaving" it. But I respect your opinoin, this make us different!(: Thanks for the comment!

Excellent photo, the one branch just before him kind of bothers me, but I still like it.

I just tryed to remove that branch, but somehow I didnt like it... The photo is also about the timing, and without that branch, it doesnt show how hard was to get him(: And also when removed you discover the cyclist more quickly. I wanted to create a pic, which at first sight might look boring, but after you watch it a bit more, you discover the hidden cyclist. Maybe its a bit too complicated. And I think these kind of pics shouldnt be... What do you think? And sorry form my english too, hope you understood what I meant!

I keep coming back here and looking at this image, and cannot get over that one stick... So since your editing ok is on, i cloned out the stick.. then after that All I could notice is the one in "behind" I just can't win! Smart move to leave it as is.... I'm just sayin.

Editing to add: I hope that isnt' the girlfriend on the bike, because that isn't really appropriate...You will be ok, I promise.

To tell the trouth, it has a very silly story. I was shooting on a dam by the Danube. After some cold days it was finaly a better one. The sun shined and people came for walks. After a couple of shots, I felt my waterworks need some attention. So I went to the bushes...

When I headed back up the dam, suddenly I saw the cyclist from far away. I grabbed my camera + prepared for the shot and took the pic. At home I did some cropping and thats all. So a bit of waiting and coincidences.

Im glad, you like it the way it is. After you wrote your first comment, as I said before, I also tryed to clone out the stick before him. After that I ended up cloning out the stick behind him too. And at the end I noticed the stick above him too. That was the time when I said: No!! Its good as it is. :D And dont worrie, thats not my gf...;) Thanks for everything!

Yeah, this is a great shot. Definitely conveys a sense of solitude and quiet.

Nice shot, really creative.
Only issue for me (as already pointed out) is the twig the cyclist looks like he is about to be impaled on.

Thanks for the comment. I tried that before, and if ereased the whole composition drops, because after the first stick is removed, the second behind him starts to bother you, and so on. (:

A great shot, I like it. Looking at it with the top half cropped out, it even looks better..to my eyes anyway.
