The moon was huge over London tonight. As I live under the Heathrow flight path I waited for aircraft to pass the moon.

For those interested in knowing where Sun/Moon Rise/Set will occur in relation to known locations (like airport approach corridors) I suggest you download the Photographer's Ephemeris (http://stephentrainor.com/tools).

The ability to overlay Azimuths on a map (esspecially a Topo Map) is very handy.

Not really patience as such, the planes fly pretty much the same route into Heathrow past my window so just had to wait for the two to cross, doesn't happen that often I have to say!

Not done aircraft for a while, had a trip to LHR just after New Year but nowt for months before that.
