The nose of a restored B-17, visiting New Orleans over the weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't arrive in time to see her land or take off.

Nine "O" Nine was in Vegas a couple years back. At the time I was shooting an Olympus E10. :rolleyes:

Nine O Nine used to fly into my hometown airport every year, along with The Dragon and his Tail (B-24). Both beautiful aircraft.... I hope you got to go on a walk-through of her!

According to my EAA e-mail, Fuddy Duddy, Aluminum Overcast, Yankee Lady, Thunderbird, and Liberty Belle. I'm pretty sure Aluminum Overcast won't fly. It is still undergoing the restoration after last years gear failure. Diamond Lil which was in Tunica, and Fifi will be there also.

It looks like it will be a heck of a show this year. The P-38 Glacier Girl is going to be there, Spaceship One, and the Global Flyer also. The big warbird shows will be on 7/29, and 7/30.

On edit, As a Bonus, This guy came taxiing in while I was outside looking at the Nine o Nine. I dont know where He came from, or where He was bound. Maybe He thought the Nine O Nine could use an escort? ;) BTW, That's the tower at North Las Vegas airport in the background.

It looks like one that was modified by NACA (before NASA).
