I still have next to no idea what I am doing with photomatix :o
But I thought I would post my best HDR's anyway to see if you guys could offer some advise

Not bad. Looks like the wind was blowing causing tree movement, but the cross is sharp. I especially like #2. VERY natural looking, yet brings out the detail in the shadow areas, no halos, etc. Nice.

No.2 is definitely a winner. I would crop it a little though (get rid of the shadow right-below).

Your right about the wind moving the trees, there was quite a strong breeze yesterday (+ I was shooting handheld lol)
